Gail Pennell (Carter)
Gail Pennell Carter, 46, of Las Cruces, NM, died March 8, 1994.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, March 14, at the Salvation Army in Petoskey.
The Rev. Bill Mindel from Harbor light Chapel and the Rev. Douglas Yeck of the Salvation Army will officiate.
She was born April 24, 1947, in Petoskey, the daughter of Theodore S. and Velma (Page) Pennell.
She grew up in Petoskey and Grand Haven and graduated from Petoskey High School in 1965.
She attended the Salvation Army School for officer training, graduating in 1968. In 1970, she married William Anderson.
In 1990, she married Edward Carter.
She taught Sunday school and directed several plays at Harbor Light Chapel. She enjoyed crafts and music.
She had attended Harbor Light Chapel and was a member of the Assembly of God in Las Cruces.
Survivors include her mother, Velma Pennell of Petoskey; two sons Aarron Anderson of Traverse City,
and Kurt Anderson of Las Cruses; two granddaughters;
two brothers, Leroy A. Pennell of Barrie, Ontario, Canada, and Theodore D. Pennell of Bay Shore; three sisters, Major Barbara Pennell of Milwaukee, Beverly Early of Martinsville, IN, and Dorreen Pennell of Las Cruces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army of Petoskey.
